The Ministry of Trade has updated the scope of import surveillance with the communiqué published in the Official Journal on April 9, 2026.
-Product Groups Covered
- Fire and safety equipment: Fire extinguisher triggers, fire dampers, fire hydrants, irrigation hydrants
- Valves and control mechanisms: Hydraulic and pneumatic control valves, gas safety valves, thermostatic valves, mixing valves, diaphragm valves, ball and cone valves, heat regulators, sensor-equipped valves, drip adjustment sets, pneumatic wheel and inner tube valves
- Cast iron and steel components: Valves and triggers made of cast iron or steel, various industrial parts made of metal or steel
- Other industrial equipment: Parts combined with filters or lubricators, steam traps, various industrial fittings
-Key Provisions
Imports of goods listed under the specified tariff codes, with unit values below 5–30 USD/kg, require a Surveillance Certificate.
Applications must be submitted electronically via the Ministry’s website or through e-Government, using an electronic signature.
Certificates are valid for six months.
Spray mechanisms used in aerosol production are excluded.
