Significant amendments have been introduced to the regulations governing import inspections of products subject to the control of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, as published in the Official Journal.
Key highlights:
- HS Code 2922.49 updated: The product scope has been revised to exclude pregabalin. In addition, a separate exemption has been introduced for products subject to veterinary control.
- Seed spices brought into scope: Seed-type products such as anise, fennel, coriander, and cumin, as well as spices including ginger, saffron, turmeric, and similar items, have been added to specific annex lists.
- Certain HS code lines added and removed: New product groups have been introduced under Annex-7, while some existing lines have been repealed and the scope has been narrowed.
- Regulation on sea algae: An update has been made to exclude calcified sea algae intended for animal feed.
