 Amendment to Anti-Dumping Measures in Imports
The Ministry of Trade has introduced an update to the Communiqué on the Prevention of Unfair Competition in Imports (No: 2025/31).
Key changes:

• The HS Code 8516.10.80.00.19, covering electric water heaters (thermosiphon/instant water heaters), has been split into two separate tariff lines
• A new GTIP 8516.10.80.00.13 has been created
• Products classified under this new GTIP have been excluded from anti-dumping measures

With this change, a differentiated approach based on tariff classification has been introduced, removing anti-dumping duties for certain products within the same category.
The regulation may have a direct impact on import costs, highlighting once again the importance of accurate tariff classification (GTIP/ HS Code).
Companies importing these products are advised to review their classification and cost structures in line with the updated tariff system.
