📌 Key regulatory update published in the Official Gazette on April 17, 2026: Extension Opportunity under the Inward Processing Regime (IPR)
The Ministry of Trade has introduced an important update to the Inward Processing Regime Communiqué (Export: 2006/12).
🔍 Key changes:
• Additional time is now available for inward processing authorizations/permits with unclosed export commitments
 • Applications must be submitted within 6 months from the effective date
 • If approved, an extension of up to half of the original period will be granted
⚠️ Key distinction:
• In general, the extension is limited to a maximum of 3 months
 • However, for goods under GTIP 7108, 7112.91, and 7113.19 (precious metals/products), the extension is limited to 1 month
📊 This regulation provides greater flexibility for companies with pending or unclosed IPR commitments.
Companies are advised to review their timelines and apply within the specified period to benefit from this extension.
