As digitalization in customs procedures accelerates, an important update is planned for declaration processes carried out through the Detailed Declaration Module of the BİLGE System. According to information provided by the Ministry, certain documents listed under the “Requested Document Codes” — which must be submitted to customs directorates during declaration registration — have been identified as outdated.
Details of these documents are published on the Ministry’s website under *E-Transactions > EDI/XML Reference Messages > Requested Document Codes*. Upon review, it was determined that due to regulatory changes and the transition to paperless customs practices, some documents in the list are no longer current.
Therefore, in order to avoid confusion during declaration registration and to ensure uniform application, these documents are planned to be terminated in the BİLGE System as of 17 February 2025, in line with the opinions of the relevant units.
To prevent delays in export and import operations, companies are advised to closely monitor updates regarding customs declaration document codes and the current list of required documents.
