The Ministry of Trade has introduced a new initiative to simplify customs processes in railway transportation. Through the single window system, controls carried out by different authorities will be integrated into one platform, enabling faster completion of procedures.
With this system, companies will no longer need to submit the same information and documents separately to multiple institutions. Instead, data can be transmitted through a single channel. This is expected to reduce paperwork and improve coordination in control processes. For firms engaged in import and export via rail, shorter waiting times and more predictable operations could provide a significant advantage.
The Ministry also emphasized that increased digitalization in customs will reduce the use of paper documents, accelerate processes, and make inspections more effective. The single window application marks a new era in foreign trade operations, ensuring customs procedures are handled more efficiently and systematically.
