Amendment to the Regulation on Seized Goods under Law No. 5607
Under the Anti-Smuggling Law No. 5607, several articles of the regulation concerning seized goods and detained vehicles have been amended. The changes affect both the definitions section and practical processes such as the delivery and storage of seized goods.
Key updates include:

  • Revised definitions for revolving funds, value of goods, nuclear dual-use materials/equipment, nuclear substances, radioactive materials, and items contaminated with radioactivity or classified as nuclear-radioactive waste. This provides a clearer framework for managing goods with nuclear or radioactive properties.
  • Amendments to provisions on the delivery and storage of seized goods.
  • Revisions regarding the storage, delivery, sampling, and destruction of tobacco products and alcoholic beverages.
  • Updated rules for the destruction of products bearing banderoles, labels, holograms, stamps, or similar marks, ensuring consistency in practice.

These changes are particularly relevant for customs and enforcement units, as well as businesses involved in seizure and destruction processes within anti-smuggling operations.
