Personnel Lifting Platforms Classified Under Customs Tariff Heading (CTH) 8428

It states that personnel lifting platforms, previously classified under Customs Tariff Heading (CTH) 8428 before 2023, have since been reclassified under CTH 8427 as of 2023. These products thereby fell within the scope of the surveillance measure introduced in 2019, originally regulating forklift imports.
Following evaluation, the Directorates General deemed it appropriate to exempt personnel lifting platforms from this surveillance. Accordingly, under the Communiqué No. 2024/12 on Surveillance in Imports, published in the Official Gazette dated 29.11.2024 (No. 32737), imports of personnel lifting platforms under CTH 8427 have been exempted from surveillance as of 29.12.2024.
