Expansion of the PEM Framework
The regulation published in the Official Gazette on 24 June 2026 incorporates the Protocol of Origin under the Türkiye–Albania Free Trade Agreement into the scope of the PEM Preferential Rules of Origin framework.
The amendment may be viewed as a significant step towards greater alignment of preferential origin practices between Türkiye and Albania under the PEM system.
