Regarding Business Follow-up Outside the Workplace – Date: July 21, 2025 (Customs Regulation Article 564/3)

Application from 5 Associations to the Directorate General of Customs on “Business Follow-up Outside the Workplace” (21.07.2025)
Due to uncertainties and differences in practice regarding “business follow-up outside the workplace” in customs procedures, five sectoral associations submitted an official letter to the Directorate General of Customs.
In this application dated July 21, 2025, the associations requested clarification of practices carried out under Article 564/3 of the Customs Regulation and resolution of field-level problems. They emphasized that variations among different customs administrations pose risks for companies in terms of time, cost, and operational planning.
The purpose of the letter is to make the relevant processes more predictable, ensure uniform application, and develop a clear approach that facilitates company operations. Such applications contribute to establishing a more standardized and transparent framework in customs procedures for both public authorities and the private sector.
