A.TR Requirement Introduced for Agricultural Products: A New Era in Customs Union Imports

An important new measure has been introduced for imports of agricultural products processed within the scope of the Customs Union. Accordingly, presentation of the A.TR Movement Certificate will henceforth be required for imports of goods falling under the heading of Agricultural Products.

The purpose of this regulation is to ensure that Customs Union procedures for agricultural products are carried out in a clearer and more standardized manner. It particularly aims to prevent delays that may arise due to missing documentation in import procedures.

For importing companies, this development requires that the A.TR certificate be prepared correctly and completely before customs declaration registration, and that shipment planning be organized accordingly. Failure to present the A.TR certificate may result in extended processing times and additional complications during the procedure.
